INDUCED TODAY?! BUT I'M NOT READY!

Indifferent Hi ladies ... so this morning I had an 11:30 am appointment (my weekly) ... found out that my pressure was a little high but the results of my recent 24 hour urine analysis weren't good ... before I knew it, the doctor comes in and says, "we're going to have you head over" after showing me my results!!!!!!!! Uh ... head over to what? I'm thinking ... head over to the hospital to be induced apparently. BUT I'M NOT READY ...

As I watched the million bumpies go into labor these past 2 weeks, I'm thinking "when am I next?" feelin' a little envious ... but here I am ... and I'm scared ... I think most of my fear comes from the fact that my dh is living in another state right now ... please get here ...

Thank goodness my mom flew in on Saturday to stay for at least a month ... my husband wasn't able to get a flight home earlier than 7 pm tonight ... its 3:55 now and we're thinking he'll get here to Chicago from New Orleans after cab, etc. by about 12 am ... Apparently, there have been lots of emergencies today and so I'm hoping that the induction won't begin until later (time enough for dh to get here)  ... I HAVE TO HAVE DH HERE ... its really freakin' me out ...

thoughts and prayers please that dh gets here, that i can do this without meds, and that my vag holds up ... huhhhhh ....

    Hang in there and breathe mommy! Your LO is almost here. You can do this. :) I am praying DH makes it there on time for you.

    Im so excited for you sweetie! I will be praying for everything to go well and that DH will be there before you have to be induced. Good Luck. Please post your birth story when LO gets here! :)

    You'll do great! (From everything I've heard) Induction is usually a long process. Try and relax and he'll hopefully have plenty of time to get to you. Can't wait to see pics!!

    Keep us updated.You're a strong woman and everything is going to be fine. Ur Dh is doing everything in his power to get there for you.

    Oh wow! I can only imagine how you feel, especially given your main source of support isn't there with you just yet. I just know that once he gets there, you'll be able to breath a little easier and start to feel more excitement.......which you deserve because......sounds like it's your time, mama, and you're going to have a baby very very soon! I'm so excited for you and can't wait to hear your update :)

    Best of luck to you! I am in a similar situation (DH has been in TX since Oct) and I just found out at my appointment today that I am going to have a c-section early next week. I can't imagine my doc telling me that I would have to be induced today! You will do great and your DH will make it...from what I hear inductions don't usually go lightning fast.

    You can do this! Even if you are induced, I know you can do it naturally! I am in Bradley classes and we just had a girl who had Cervadil and was able to deliver without pain medication.  I am jealous!
