I have been measuring 2 weeks ahead, which I know for a big portion of pregnancy means nothing, but I am kind of hoping that when I go in tomorrow and am still measuring "big", they'll do a growth U/S. Has anyone heard of this being done for this reason?

Re: What caused your OB to do a growth U/S?
I'll get growth u/s this time b/c DD was big and they want to keep an eye on this little guy.
It's not abnormal to measure a bit ahead, but I would talk to your Dr. about it. I never measured ahead with DD. Apparently she was a surprise chunker (as my Dr. said when she pulled her out).

I was scheduled for one at my 36W b/c at 35W I measured small and had been measuring normally. She wasn't sure if I had dropped and b/c my torso is long it just made the measurement off or not. Has the U/S and head was totally down and measured perfect.
