Oh my gosh. Ironing is one chore I do not do. It is also the only chore I can have DH do with out suffering consequences when he doesn't do it... or so I thought. For the past two years his grandma has been ironing his clothes, but she is 91 and off her rocker. It just isn't going to work anymore. Well, MIL is not happy that I don't do it in the first place.
This weekend she says to me, "Tell her that now that you are no longer babysitting you will have more time to iron his clothes"
Me: "No, that is still Dustin's chore."
Her: "Well, maybe you should suck it up and just do it"
Apparently SAHMs should wait on their husbands hand and foot. If he has time to sit on his computer for hours at night or spend his weekend playing video games, he has time to iron his work clothes.

Re: I DO NOT IRON!!!
I don't even know how to iron.
I'm going to keep on NOT knowing how if you know what I mean!
Well, I should say just HIS clothes. It is very rare that any of my clothes need to be ironed (oh the beauty of staying home) but if they do, I will iron my own clothes.
DH isn't allowed to touch my laundry, lol
MIL can iron his damn shirts then.
My dad and stepmom can't believe some of the things I don't do for my husband. No, I don't iron his clothes. I don't iron my own clothes, either, that's what the dryer is for. I don't make his doctor appointments, either, and I don't make his lunch. He's a big boy. He can do all of these things if he wants to.
My silly Lily is almost 4.
Neither of us iron. The dryer gets all the wrinkles out good enough for me.
Umm, maybe he should suck it up and just do it! I made DH responsible for his own laundry after I got sick of him complaining that a specific pair of pants or shirt weren't washed. They're grown men, they can be responsible for something around the house.
I hate ironing. I hate ironing for my husband with the passion of a 1000 suns. My reasoning:
1. I don't get man shirts. I hate how the arm doesn't connect like a normal shirt, and so the crease on top doesn't line up with the bottom seam of the sleeve. They're a PITA, and I hate them more than I hate poopy diapers.
2. My husband has a million shirts and 2000 pairs of pants, so its impossible to iron them all at once. If I iron him clothes for the week there is always something wrong: "This shirt doesn't match these pants.", "These pants are too tight!!", "I just wore that shirt last week."
3. I won't iron them the AM he has to wear them, because he leaves for work at a GAWD awful time, and DS doesn't STTN (most nights) and DH won't get up with him in the middle of the night, so there really is no way in hell I'm gonna wake up early to iron his clothes.

I don't iron. Ever.
We only buy "no-iron" shirts for DS for work, they are perfection straight out of the dryer.
Fortunately DH is not a meticulous kind of person, so for casual clothes he just walks around in slightly wrinkled shirts and pants. :P
I know what you mean!
My H does all the ironing in this house. It's rare I need anything ironed, but if I do, I've played the whole "Honey, I can't do as good a job as you do!" card enough that he just asks if I want him to iron for me. I think he's proud of his skillz.
I don't iron. Jokingly MIL thinks I should iron DHs stuff. Our cleaning lady irons for both of us and when she doesn't have time each person is responsible for their own ironing.
I don't iron, either. DH sends his collared shirts to the dry cleaner. If I have wrinkles in anything I want to wear, I just hang it in the bathroom and let the shower steam smooth it out.
The last thing I remember ironing is my graduation robe from grad school. That was in 2006.
I also hate ironing. Everytime I try, the side i just ironed gets re-wrinkled after I flip it to the other side.
I am so getting the Downy Wrinkle releaser.
Oh, Lordy. I wouldn't react well to anybody telling me I should suck it up over a subject like that!
I'm a SAHM, too, and DH *still* does his own ironing. I hate it and get extremely frustrated with his pants, and trying to get the darn crease right -- so I gave up and I rarely do it. Most mornings he sprays a shirt with Downy Wrinkle Releaser and pops it in the dryer for a few minutes.
If I'm feeling generous, I *may* volunteer -- but he never assumes I'm going to do it. Over the weekend I ironed enough shirts for him to wear to work this week, but mostly b/c he was busy folding other laundry and I didn't feel like joining in.

Buwahahahahahahahahah
I haven't ironed in YEARS. I don't even know where the ironing board is. LOL My DH buys the no-wrinkle shirts from Brooks Brothers instead.
And FTR, I never ironed when I worked either. I just never wore things that needed ironing OR just sent them to the dry cleaner.
My mother is scandalized; she's an ironing freak.
