My dad offered G soda

Seriously. He will never learn! I don't even let him have juice at their house (it's never 100%).

So dad had a cup on his desk where he was sitting and G stood on his tippy toes to look in. Dad says, "it's soda, would you like to try a sip?" !!!!

luckily G's response was, "no I can't have that". To which my dad said, "your mom probably wouldn't want you to try it anyway."

even if he was joking, which I hope he was, you can't make offers to 3 year olds like that. If G had said yes an I had said no, there would have been tears. For some kids that would have been a tantrum inducer.

annnnnnd he spent 3 months last year not speaking to me because I won't let him babysit. Doing things like this is not going to make me change my mind. *sigh*

My FIL does this with my DD. Even though we do allow juice, she is not allowed to have any kind of soda. We see FIL giving her sips out of his glass. Makes me and DH furious. DH laid it on his dad to not ever give DD soda again. I don't understand why grandparents don't want to listen to the rules.
