It's really hard to tell from the picture. Usually around this age all babies have something sticking out down there. My u/s tech said it's the angle at which it lies. If it sticks straight out then it may be a girl. If it's a 30 degree angle or higher then it may be a boy. She said she's usually right about 80% of the time.

FWIW, they didn't look for white lines at my NT scan. They looked at a line that was straight and said we had girls. For the boy the line had a 45 degree angle and they said it was a boy. They were right.

This exactly. Boys and girls look very similar at that age; it all depends on the angle. From what I have gathered from ingender.com, the shot has to be a profile of the baby with the spine visible to determine the angle. It would be near impossible to tell from under the bottom like that.
Honestly I cant see anything at all in this pic. Sorry... But we saw our LO's girly parts very clearly during our NT scan and last week it was confirmed girl. I wouldnt go out buying anything pink based on that pic but who knows?

Our tech used the pic in my siggy. She "guessed" boy for us.

Yeah I agree that it is a profile shot with the spine visible. Ours was & he compared it to a picture from a textbook in his office & it was identical. She didn't cooperate at the 20 week u/s so I guess we'll know for sure on the March 4th. **crosses fingers**

I took it with my iPhone b/c my D60 is dead. I'll try to update again tonight.
But, my doctor said nothing was sticking out and she wouldn't guess unless she felt fairly confident. I guess that counts for something!

If I had to guess I would say boy.
