XP: Evaporation Line Question

I am breastfeeding my son who is almost 6 months old.  I haven't gotten my AF, but I haven't been feeling well and I've been more tired than usual (although I am getting more sleep at night).  I took a test this afternoon, and a really light line showed up where the postive line would be.  Now, I'm thinking it's an evaporation line because it was so light (almost like a shadow)--but definitely there.  How quickly do the lines usually show?  I thought it was after like 10 minutes or something...but maybe I'm wrong?  I will probably test again in a few days just to make sure.

    Did it show up in the time frame?  Was colored or a grayish white color? Did you have unprotected sex during what is your fertile time in your cycle?

    an evap line is what shows up AFTER 10 minutes on most brands..... if the line showed up before 10 minutes ....it's real. Is it a blue dye test... those tend to give shadow type lines that are not bfps ....test tomorrow with first morning urine with a First Response Early Response.

    It was an Answer brand (pink in color) and it showed up the first minute I took the test.  I will try the FRER.  Thanks ladies.

    Im so glad you asked this. I took a est this afternoon and got a faint second line. I am dying until I test tomorrow with FMU t confirm and hopefully get darker line. I kept thinking how do i know if it is just an evap line...but i saw mineby the time i finished washing my hands... i feel sooooo much better now.
