Since I'm only 19 weeks and a first-timer I'm not sure if I should keep a couple pairs of pants I just bought from Old Navy. I've always been a medium and they just seem so big on me right now. Especially the jean pencil skirt I got...it's just too big. Should I exchange them for a smaller size or should I assume I'll grow into them? I'm not showing much yet, but I don't fit into my regular pants anymore, and I KNOW I'll get much bigger soon. Thanks for your help!
Re: Will I grow into my maternity pants?
Yes... depends on how big you get them! I have a pair that fits great but the belly band part is a bit big, although with each passing week, it's getting tighter. I bought a pair of maternity jeans that fit perfectly 2 weeks ago and I can barely get comfortable in them now.

I thought the same at x-mas when SO's mom got me some pants they were kinda loose in the waist..they fit everywhere now but some reason the elastic in all my mat jeans doesnt seem to hold them up so I'm always pulling them up either way.. One pair does have belt loops though.
As PP said if theyre falling off, switch em..if njust loose, wait it out.
Hey- I went through this too. Someone had given me a bunch of medium mat clothes, but they were big on me and I felt like a slob. Then I went to the maternity store and the women said that you buy what fits you (for me size small) and they will fit you throughout your pregnancy as long as you don't gain more than the recommeneded 35lbs.
Mat clothes have a lot of stretch built into them... so you wont' go through a bunch of sizes. I bought my clothes at 17 weeks and now at 26 everything still fits me- except I had to get an extender for the bra. so take them back and buy what fits you. You will feel better if the clothes fit you correctly.
Maybe. It kind of depends on how you are carrying. I carried DS really low and didn't end up needing to go up a size. This baby is much higher, so I'm curious to see if I'll stay the same size.
