ultrasound at 7 weeks - anyone?

My first appt will be at 7 weeks, and my doc implied they may do an ultrasound. Part of me is (VERY) excited, and part of me is scared we won't be able to see anything that early...anyone here have a US at 7 weeks?

I'm having mine at 7 weeks, too.

From what I've read from other posters, you should be able to see a heart beat and what may resemble a gummy bear.

I had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks. We could see the little sweet pea and see the heartbeat of 148! It was so exciting! Good luck!

I've had u/s at 5 weeks, 6w5d, and 8w5d. At 5 we saw only the gestational sac. But at 6w5d, we saw a bean of a baby, including a heart beating away. At 8w5d we saw more baby, including little arms and feet.

If your dates are correct...around 7 weeks you should be able to see a little hb.

My first u/s was 6w3d and we saw a teeny baby with a h/b of 136.

As long as that's actually how far along you are (I don't know if you're sure when you O'd) you should be able to see the h/b by then.

I had an u/s at 6w2d, gestational and yolk sacks, but no hb. I had another u/s at 7w, and there was a hb. They think I may have O'ed late in my cycle (no temping = no idea), and they'll calculate the gestational age again this friday when I go in for my 9 week appt.

Mine was 7w 5d saw a blob with a little heartbeat going 141 bpm. Hope all goes well!

I had one at 6w 5d when I was pregnant w/my son. All we saw was a little blip on the screen, but it was still exciting knowing that was the baby.

I had my 2nd ultrasound at 7w5d. We saw baby and the heartbeat. Enjoy it!

I went in at what I thought was 8w2d and got an ultrasound and based on the results, they dated me at 7w3d. I could see the sac/placenta beginning and the adorable little peanut with a heart beat. It looks like a little tiny flutter just going crazy. It was the best thing I've ever seen. I got to bring home the first "pictures" of my little peanut. I didn't think we would see anything either, but (usually) you can and it was thrilling.

My first doctors appointment won't even be until this Wednesday, I really hope they do an ultrasound, I wish I had had an ultrasound at 7 weeks too!
