Sent DS to daycare even though I'm home today ...

Am I the worst mother ever? ?I have the stomach bug and literally cannot move off the couch except when I have to puke, so DH dropped M at daycare this morning and will pick him up on the way home.

The house is so quiet and lonely. ?I miss him, but hopefully he's having fun with all his little friends.?

    Not at all!  I've sent DS to daycare once a week during my maternity leave.  It gave me a chance to run errands and get things done with DD!

    LOL, I send D to daycare 2 days a week these days and I don't even have a job!  We are keeping him on his same routine, and it's great for him to get out of the house and away from Mommy.  Especially because you are sick - relax and enjoy some quiet time!

    Relax and enjoy the quiet and feel better...if I am home sick I still send DS to daycare there is nothing wrong with that.

    Not bad at all, unless I am also.  I am home sick today, and ds is in daycare.  Actually, the one time I stayed home and kept him home with me I really regretted it.  You can't really focus on getting better when you're trying to play with him all day.

    No--it makes you the best mom ever.  Seriously.  I mean, at least he's in a safe environment and having fun --and hopefully staying healthy.  You need your rest....so it's a win-win.

    I came home early the other day from work b/c I didn't feel well and just wanted a couple hours to nap--and kept DS in daycare---it was the best hour nap ever and I seriously felt SO much better afterwards.  This will really help you.
