5 seconds into A Baby Story and I turned off the TV.

The pagan couple.  Please tell me someone else just saw that.

  • I normally avoid A Baby Story like the plague, but I think I might have to watch this one.  Is it still on?  I got commercials now.

  • They were waving their hands over her belly or something praying to the gods to bestow wisdom upon their baby.  And they were gross.  I was like, "Aaaaaaand, scene." *click*

I've had Catholic priests (I'm not Catholic, but my Inlaws are) "draw" a cross on my belly and say a prayer when they first met me. With both of my pregnancies. Is what they did any different than that in any way?

Huh? I never had a priest do that and I went to mass at several churches during my pregnancy.

I've been to Mass twice and met 3 priests (once with my last pregnancy, once with this one) and both times all 3 priests did this. I didn't mind, I'll take all of the blessings from any religion I can get. The more the better. Also, at my Parents' Church of God the pastor would lay his hands on my belly and pray. I don't see the big deal, I guess.

  • Two things.

That dad's facial hair is killing me.  Gross.

And he kept saying that he hopes the baby turns around so that "we" can have a natural childbirth.  Uh... you're not doing it, dude.

  • i saw it!  totally annoying.  but you should have waited for the end.  she was all about the natural birth and ended up in a c-section because the baby was breech at 36 weeks.   wah wah.

me too. There are people that plan on getting the epi the second they get to the hospital but labor goes to fast and they have a natural delivery. wah wah. Wanting a natural birth does not predispose you to a c-section. Things comes up.
