3 - a company credit card, an Amex we use only at Costco, and a capital one.
We use the Cap One card for everything to rack up points but pay it off monthy. We use it more like a debit card, only for stuff we can afford, just for the benefits of the rewards.
I don't have any! I kinda want one. But I am not sure which one would be best to have. If I need a CC for anything like plane tickets I use dh's or I use my debit card.

this is exactly what I do with my Chase card. Constantly cashing in the points for $50 Target GC's.

Yeah, we save our points for plane tickets! We just got back from Maui and didn't have to pay for the tickets. We are going back in 2012, hopefully we can rack up enough points by then!

This is GOOD thing!! Just say no. A debit card can do everything a credit card can do except get you into debt.
Frankly, if you know anything about the practices of credit cards companies, I can't imagine willingly doing business with them.
P.S., to the people that pay off your balances every month and just get "great" rewards, you are the exception rather than the rule or otherwise the companies would be bankrupt by now.

I know Capital One gets a bad rap, but the rewards are awesome. I haven't paid a dime for anything on iTunes in months because I get gift cards all the time, and I barely use my card.
Special snowflake? We had/have 3, but they're all closed and being paid off. We had 12K in debt but now we're down to 3! Though DH has one open that we can use in case of emergency, but we don't.

Also, I've heard a credit card is better for online purchases than a debit card because you have more recourse and coverage if someone gets your number and uses your card. I could be wrong, but that's what I've always thought/heard.

Yea, dh pays his off every month! I kinda want one so I can get a better credit score. I wonder if dh will let me be on his?
I was kinda looking at getting a card, maybe a Captal one!

Yup, that's right, too. It make disputing charges much easier, too, especially in cases where a provider doesn't follow through.

We had 12! Now we have none. We knownits bad for your credit score to close them but it wasn't worth it to us. We pay for everything in cash or debit card. Dhs aunt actually paid off all of our balances nd we make a monthly payment to her. It's great because we are actually getting our debt down insted of drowning in interest.
We thought about getting one, but honestly, there is no point. We both have basically perfect credit, and savings to cover any large expenses that may come up.
Re: s/o Credit Card poll
have? or actually use?

I have 3 but I only use one and only for things I don't want to give someone access to my debit card for, and then I pay it monthly.
