I posted this on the local NJ board, but figured it was best to post it here instead...
I had another appointment with the high risk doctor today and it appears I my amniotic fluid is too high... With twins the fluid shouldn't be higher than 8; one baby's fluid is 11.2 and the other is 9.6. He said that several issues could be the cause: intestine/stomach issues with the babies, heart issues with the babies, gestational diabetes, or merely just a fluke... He had the techs check the stomach again while he watched... If it were a stomach/intestine issue, there would be no stomach at all or an enlarged stomach - both stomachs looked perfectly normal... He will continue to monitor it every two weeks... They did an anatomy scan the last time and got really good shots of the heart - both of which looked great. He wants me to make an appointment with a pediatric cardiologist so they can do an ultra sound and check themselves - just to rule it out... I was scheduled to go for my 1 hour glucose sometime between 3/5-3/12, but now I have to go for the THREE hour glucose ASAP... Fun, right? I am hoping it was the last option - the fluke... but I guess I will take gestational diabetes over the other options...
He recommended three pediatric cardiologists:
Alpert, Zales, and Castro - Pediatric Cardiologist, P.A., Brick
Loyda Rivera, M.D., Monmouth Ocean Children's Heart Center P.A., Wall
Sadaf A. Khan, M.D., Heart to Heart Pediatric Cardiology, Monroe, NJ
Has anyone heard of any of these pediatric cardiologists? I would prefer to go to someone I "know" can recommend. My niece has a pediatric cardiologist that my sister loves, but he is in Summit - which is far for me... God forbid there was an issue, I would go there for a 2nd opinion, but I'd rather find someone local.
TIA

I did...my peri put me on indomethicin (spelling may be wrong on this) every other or every 3 days to keep it down. Neither of my girls had any cardiac issues/concerns though.
Did your DR discuss the potential for wanting to decrease it or is he/she just going to keep an eye on it?
