Intro and a Daycare question

Hello all! Just got a + HPT last week and so excited! EDD Oct 17, 2010. Thought I'd check out this local board and lurk around.

We already have a daycare picked out (it's at my work so the convenience can't be beat), but I'm curious to see how the pricing stacks up against other daycares in the area. For full time infant care, it's $780 a month. Is that in line with what others are paying? Any info appreciated!

Congrats and welcome! My EDD for my DS was 10/17/09! He came 2 weeks early though!

We use an in home daycare, so it is less than that, plus DS only goes PT. However, the price is in line with what my work daycare charges for full time infant care. Plus, the benefit of being close to your LO while you are at work is great!!

Thanks! We might look into doing PT at the work daycare, and having the grandparents watch a couple days a week, but we have lots of time to decide.

Congrats!

We pay 800 a month for full time daycare and that was b/c they were running a 100 off special when we signed. So yours sounds about right.

Yes congrats! I wish you a healthy nine months.

My MIL runs an in-home daycare and I think she charges $175 per week.

Holy smokes- that's a great price! The daycare we have found in our area is all $1200 - $1600 per month for full time ($1200 is the least expensive we found). Apparently we need to move east!

That price seems very good! We pay $47/day. I believe full-time was like $42/day?

We did get married there! ?Good eye! ?We loved it there. ?Everything worked out perfectly (minus having to use the theater inside instead of the courtyard outside for the ceremony) and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. ?

we pay $210 a week for an infant full time. I think part time was $60 a day. We can have him there for up to 12 hours a day. most daycares are 10 hours a day. my dh and i have to work 9-10 hours so we needed a daycare that would 11 hours with out charging extra.
