Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

If you like forensics (don't open if you don't like it)

and can handle seeing dead bodies (just bones)

or liked Body Worlds you have to go to this exhibit!

It was freaking crazy!

It is in the American History Museum right now. There are a few kids and babies in there.

There is a whole thing about the history of swaddling and a baby who was swaddled to death.

  • Wow.  That was really interesting.  So crazy how a chipped tooth can lead to death just a few hundred years ago.

  • Seriously it blew my mind. The one about the boy found in the cellar is nuts. These people moved into this house here in this area not knowing that there was a dead body of a boy in the cellar. Can you imagine? We have tons of houses around here that have mud basements because they're so old. My friend lives in one. Crazy stuff! I guess that wasn't on the disclosure ;)
  • a lot of babies were swaddled to death during medieval times.  one of my history professors was so paranoid, she told us about how she ripped the blankets off her baby as soon as they handed her to her in the hospital.

That is sad, but funny at the same time.

They were saying that back then because the houses were so dark I guess what added to the issue was the baby stayed swaddled and never got any light so it didn't help sick babies at all.

  • I lied I'm sorry I said it was at American it was at Natural. We were at both that day.
  • I love f forensics. I went to school to be a profiler for he FBI. Very interesting article!! Amazing
