Allergies related to dogs?

I am just wondering if any of your LO's are allergic to dogs and when they started showing signs of the allergy.  I watch my cousin's LO and he is 13 months.  The last two weeks he has been sneezing like crazy and his poor nose is a mess.  Over the weekend his parents said he barely sneezed and his nose was getting better.  Well, the poor kiddo has been here an hour and has sneezed seven times and his nose is running like mad.  Could this be allergies to my lab?  He has been with me since he was seven months, so I am hoping that he is not allergic to my dog, but I am just not sure when allergies in kids appear.  Thanks!

    Unless you are wearing a new perfume or lighting new candles or some other new scent in your house that could be bothering him, it sounds like allergies to me.

    Unless something else has changed in your house, I'd assume dogs as well. 

    I'm assuming it's still to cold to open your windows & therefore the dust & pollen level hasn't changed.

    Darn... I was really hoping I was just missing something.  I know they can't afford to put the little guy in daycare.  Thanks.  Maybe when I can open the windows that will help a bit.

    You could try vacuuming/washing all your furniture and carpets, see if that helps at all.  I know my animals used to really bother my sister but when we put in hard wood floors and if I would vacuum real good and keep up with washing my couch cushions it wasnt nearly as bad.
