Success after IF

Back on the IF rollercoaster...and I hate it!

When we were pg with DD we thought she would probably be our only child.  I am AMA and just wasn't sure we wanted to go through all of the pressure again (that we put on ourselves) trying to get pg again.  However, after having DD, we knew immediately that we would like to try for another.  We both have several siblings and we would like for DD to at least have one.

When she turned 6m I started on my Metformin again but have not been charting or using the CBEFM, just enjoying ourselves and hoping we did the deed on the right days.  This month I broke out the CBEFM again and today I got my peak reading.  It brought back all of my bad memories of when we used to only have sex if we were trying for a baby, etc.  I hate this.  We are hoping to get lucky and conceve on our own but if we aren't pg by the end of the summer I will go see the RE again.

Anyway...just wanted to whine.  Thanks for listening!

  • Good luck! You might be shocked to see how easy it is go get in the swing of things again! I am started lupron today and it was shocking how natural it was for me.

We were the same way about wanting other when Paige came.  I was asking the OB as she was stitching me up how long I have to wait after C-Section.  Something about pregnancy and childbirth is addicting!!

  • I'm sorry, but I hope your ride on the roller coaster is short.  We're thinking of trying again before having to do treatments and I think some of the reason that is holding me back is just the emotional crap that comes along with it.  My BCP runs out in two weeks so we'll see at that point how I feel.

  • you might be surpised. a lot of women who have gotten pg because ivf got bfp without any help. we did go for another baby right after our twins were born because we had the ivf coverage with our insurance. It was worth it now looking at my little boy. we have talked about one more but we aren't sure if we want 4
