Pack n Play Bassinette Question

We are going in for our c-section tomorrow (she's breech), just set up the PNP with the Bassinette.  It seems to be 'softer' than I thought.. she's going to be sleeping in this once home. Is this ok?  I mean it seems supported fine, I guess I just thought it would be more firm.  I am sure this is just the first time nerves freaking out, but I wanted to see what others thought/had for thier LO.  TIA!

Re: Pack n Play Bassinette Question

  • We used it for ds#1 for around 2 months, it didn't seem like it was too soft.  I wasn't worried using it and will be using it again for this baby.  Good luck tomorrow:)

  • I plan on using the bassinette portion when she comes home in our room. I think it will be fine. Wish you the best tomorrow.

  • It is fine... DS slept in our room in our Graco PNP bassinette for the first 6 months.  The baby is usually all swaddled up and doesn't move at all in the beginning while sleeping if they are swaddled so shouldn't be an issue.  She will be fine :)

     Good luck & congrats!

  • So glad you asked this question b/c DH and I set up the Gracco PNP this afternoon and I was thinking the exact same thing...I thought it was way too soft.  But after all the AP's I guess they're all swaddled up so there won't be movement to concern.

    GL and speedy/safe delivery!

  • We will be doing the same thing and using the swaddle me blanket. I plan on using it in the room for 6 weeks then I will have to put her in the crib since I will be using the PnP @ work.
  • Thanks.. makes me feel MUCH better!!! :)
