I just learned this week that if you boil a bowl of water in the microwave it makes it easier to clean. That is absolutely true!!! I use to hate cleaning the microwave. That makes things so much easier!

Try it with a half a cup of vinegar - it practically cleans itself! You just need to wipe it out.

Ditto this--or you can squeeze the juice of a lemon in the water and get the same effect.

Ugh! I wish I'd have learned about this a week ago! My microwave was covered in nasty stuff from sitting in that drafty house and I scrubbed until my knuckles hurt. Thanks for sharing.

I couldn't remember what you put in the water to make it even easier. Glad I read this post. Mine is super funky and I keep putting it off because dh was supposed to do it weeks ago.
