DD and I are taking a 5:30am flight tomorrow. We need to be at the airport by 4:30.
Should we wake her, changer her diaper, throw her in the car (in pjs) and head to the airport in hopes that she'll sleep a little more in the car and possibly at the airport?
or
Should we wake her with time to get dressed and eat breakfast?
It's going to be such an early morning and I want it to go as smoothly as possible. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Early a.m. flight with DD: a ?
In my bag
d90
50mm f/1.2 * 28-85mm (Macro) f/3.5-4.5 * 70-300mm f/3.5-4.5
Opteka Fisheye Adapter * Lightscoop
This. If it were DS he would fall back asleep in the car. GL!
we've done the early flight a few times.
if her diaper is really soggy, I change it.
I wait til the last minute, keep her in the PJs and put her in the car.
Once through the security at airport, I change her into her regular clothes.
However, she never really continues to sleep in the car...so I probably would be fine to change her at the house.
I'd personally wake her and keep her up until the flight, and let her sleep on the plane.
Our flight is at 10:15 on Tues am... but we need to be at the airport by 8:45, and it takes an hour from our house plus rush hour. We'll all be getting up at 6 when it's normally 9, so we're hoping she naps on the flight for us like she usually does.
Make it as easy for yourself as possible (we've done a few of these)
Wake her when everything is packed and ready to go in the car
Change her diaper, leave her in PJ's (bring an extra outfit with you, though I would probably just leave her in her PJ's)
Give her a snack or sippy of warm milk (or whatever she usually gets first thing in the morning) once you're in the car and hope she continues to sleep in the car
Bring another snack/meal for the plane ride and feed her at the normal breakfast time.
Hope your flight goes well!
Thanks ladies! All great ideas.
I think i will wake her, change her, give her milk in th car and something to eat at the airport or when she is ready.
Man, traveling takes so much more planning with a LO!
