I know this board is sloooooowwww, but I'd thought I'd post this here anyways. What do you pay for daycare? We think we've found one, but just want to compare prices without calling all over.

I'm a SAHM. I've watched kids when needed.
It depends on where you are taking your LO (home daycare vs. daycare center). I can tell you what I charge, but if you're going to a center, it's not a good comparison.

We live in Sherrard and are considering Scribbles Too. Its an early childhood learning center/daycare. They charge $150/wk for babies and $115/wk for potty-trained kids. The price seems fair and its convenient for us.
Those are very reasonable prices. I know they're higher at a place I worked at in Davenport right out of college.
It's great that you're looking so early. Most people feel like they have tons of time and then they're 3rd tri creeps up on them and they feel pressured to pick a place due to waiting lists, etc.
I think that might be the place where my cousin's son goes and they love it there! I work for the arsenal so it's only $500/month here but when we were looking around $800/month was pretty average for a daycare.

We pay $25/day for home day care and $27.50/day for center care. (She goes to each part time...the center offers a cheaper rate for full time I believe it is $125/week.) so I think you are close to right on there!
