So I started taking wheat grass pills about two weeks ago-purchased from whole foods. I started noticing I had really bad dry mouth especially when I talked alot (which in my job I am basically talking and meeting with different people all day long.) Anyway I did not really connect the two at first and just thought I was dehydrated. But today I did not take them just to see if maybe that was the cause and what do you know no dry mouth really at all. Is this a common occurance for those who take wheat grass? Anyone know if the liquid or powder kind is supposed to be "better?" I am just confused as to how wheat grass would cause dry mouth..........TIA!

Re: Wheat Grass Pills and Dry mouth?
My first guess is that it's doing something to your hormones. I don't know what wheatgrass is supposed to do, but whenever I have been on Clomid or Lupron I get horrible dry mouth. It also happens with my dad and his Parkinson's drugs (which alter his dopamine in his brain).
I have found that Biotene mouthwash for dry mouth (available in most drugstores) is WONDERFUL in making it go away somewhat.
