Moving to Norwalk, CT in May!

My husband just got transferred to Norwalk, CT, so the two of us and our 9 month old daughter, Lorelei, will be moving. I don't know anything about the area, but I've heard it's gorgeous and excited to go! Anyone have any job hunting or apartment hunting or daycare hunting tips? I've been a SAHM sine Lorelei was born (she has a congenital heart disorder so the drs said it'd be best if she was home with me for the first year and I took that opportunity

Hi there! Welcome to CT (well, sort of!)! I'm originally from a little further north of Norwalk, CT and actually used to work in Norwalk.

Do you know where you will be living? I could def. recommend a few different areas to look into for that, and for going out, as well! Send me a private message if you want to chat some more!

You will definitely like CT...it is beautiful here - although Norwalk is more city-like than more rural/suburban areas...plenty to do, and from that area, you're about 2.5 hours away from Boston, and only about 45 minutes outside of NYC!

Hi and welcome to CT! My husband and I are farely new to the area as well (orignally from Ohio if you can't tell by my screen name) but if you ever want to chat feel free to pm me and I'll send you my email address. My husband also works in Norwalk (for the most part anyway) but we live just north of Fairfield. You really have a lot of options as far as areas to live and still have a reasonable commute for him. Thanks ladies!! I'm excited for the move, never been to CT! But all the photos I've seen are just gorgeous! I've gotten a couple places to check out from the hubby's new employer, I'm hoping one of those works out, but I'm so glad to hear of the other places too!
