use the pad that comes with the changing table?

experienced mommies... thoughts please. do you think the pad that comes with the changing table is ok, or did you get the contoured pad that they sell at BRU? they sell the changing table pad covers, do they fit both pads (the ones they come with and the contoured ones? it seems as though the contoured ones look more comfortable.....

  • We have the non-organic version of this pad: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2953121

With a boppy brand cover. The cover is so soft and almost fuzzy-like. I love it!

  • We just use the one that came with ours. It works fine and he doesn't seem to care. They are only on it for a few minutes so I wouldn't worry about the comfort too much.
  • Ours didn't come with a pad so we bought a contoured one. The standard covers fit it just fine.
  • We have a contoured one, nothing special.  Got it when I bought something off craigslist and the lady threw it in for free.  Guess she didn't want to go to goodwill :P  I probalby would have bought one though (because I wouldn't have known better), the one that came with the table is more than fine.  I have a cover for it, then we keep a towel on top of that.  Alyssa likes to wet the changing pad!
  • I bought a more comfortable one, the one that came with it was like a rock.  We put her on it to change her diaper, change her clothes, baby massages, lotion her after a bath, etc. so she is on there a good amount of time.  Happy we did get the good one too because she loves being on there.  Sometimes when shes fussy and i dont know what she wants i will put her on there and she will just start smiling.
