The tough go shopping and I have been doing way too much! And sadly I am tempted to do more today. What do you do to pick yourself up when you are down?
Yes I run too. Actually I have worked out 4 days in a row and am forcing myself to take a day off and I think it is making me stir crazy!!!! I just got my auto acceptance into this year's NYC marathon. (Hopefully IVF will work and I will need to ask them to hold my spot for 2011!)
I've been buying tons of clothes for my trip (from Anthropologie) and I bought 3 pairs of shoes (one from j.crew and 2 from Aerolsoles). I also had to buy new running shirts because my ipod wore holes into all my old ones.

I do pilates, get a massage w DH, or shop...lots of shopping!
Ditto this....and working out helps. When I get the go ahead from my doc, I will start turbo kick boxing again. Also, pedi/manis and facials. And if you are avoiding spending money, surprisingly cleaning helps me. By the time I am done I am too exhausted to be sad.
PS. I think your basset hound is adorable...I always wanted one as a kid. I loved the fact that their ears almost touched the ground. I hate the fact that our dog (furbabies) do not live as long as we do.

Losing Bobby was the WORST pain I ever felt.
I am so sorry. I am such a dog lover, I know exactly where you are coming from.
Change of subject, where in Italy are you going? We went Oct 2008 and had a blast!!

We are going to Rome, Florence, and Venice. We are taking a Globus Tour. I see you are moving to NYC! Are you from NY originally? I live 1/2 an hour from the city and my RE practice is there. Do you need a new dr for when you move?

That's exactly what we did, plus a little more. We flew into Rome and then traveled to Florence, Venice, Paris, and London over 15 days. It was the most exhausting and fun vacation I have ever had. The food, history, art, etc. is just overwhelming.
Yeah, it is scary and exciting at the same time since we are from the west coast. My husband was accepted into an Oral Surgery residency at Montefiore hospital in the Bronx, so we will be there for 4 years.
Thanks so much for your offer, that is incredible nice of you. Our new medical insurance will be great, even including fertility treatments up to 20 or 30 g's! So we are excited if we have to go that route. I am not sure but if our insurance works at your place, I would love to go!

I work down the street from Montefiore hospital! I'm a teacher in the Bronx. My dad is a dentist. His residency brought my parents to Texas..where I was born, but then they moved back to NY.
I highly recommend our practice. It is Cornell...CRMI. They operate through NY Presbyterian Hospital and are one of the best clinics in the US. Look them up online. A lot of the girl's on the IF board use them, that is actually how I found them.

Wow, small world!! Well, I am a dental hygienist, so if your dad knows anyone looking for one in July/Aug of this year....let me know!! I still have to apply for my license though...lol.
What grade are you teaching out there? I imagine that is a busy and rewarding job out there. My sister teaches fifth grade in Arizona and she is constantly working. With all the budget cuts she has 35 kids right now!
Thanks for the website. I have them bookmarked for future reference!!

I also indulge in retail therapy. I really need to find something else, though.

Re: When the Going Gets Tough...
I love to shop too. Unfortunately, I often get buyers remorse so it ends up just making me feel worse.
I also like to do pampering things like a mani/pedi or a massage.

I get buyers remorse too and I hate it.
