Did you end up getting more baby clothes or did you get things off your registry?

I am getting a little nervous...... :-/

I got most of the stuff off my registry. Only his family really bought us clothes. So we made out pretty well.

a little of both. I do wish that people thought a diaper pail was as cute as flowered onesies. There are still some basic supplies we need.

i got all the big items off my registry and people stuck clothes with them.... my only complaint is that mostly ALL the clothes are newborn size or 0-3 months... So I have to go out and buy all bigger sizes... I dont need 20 newborn outfits....

I also got both & also ended up with wayyyyy too many newborn & 0-3 clothes between the showers & the clothes that were sent when they were born. I will never give anyone that size clothes as a gift again

For my work shower, they went straight off our registry. For our shower with friends, they did a lot of the stuff off our registry. A few people did clothes, but they were mainly from friends with kids, so they were larger sizes. :-)

I am worried I will get only clothes and diapers. I have plenty of clothes already that I have been given as hand me downs and I dont need 20 cases of newborn diapers. My first shower is next weekend and so far nothing on my registries has been bought

While we still need more basics, most of the gifts came from our registry with additional little touches thrown in. We got both infant car seats, an awesome stroller, and other substantial items. I feel good about the amount of clothes we got in a variety or sizes, and we actually felt the need to buy some newborn zippered sleepers to be sure we have enough practical items in the beginning. If we got too much of anything, it's blankets!

I didn't get a single pack of diapers at either of my showers! And I only got a couple outfits!

I received mostly everything off our registry and a few clothes. I actually received more clothes after I had the twins. I also received way too many pink and blue blankets:)-

Oh yes, I have 400 million blankets and 400 million pairs of baby socks. I swear I got like 10 boxes of those Trumpettes mary jane socks!

You know, it's funny; everyone had told me I'd get tons of cute outfits at my showers. But at the first shower, I did not get a single article of clothing! LOL (Well, other than socks.) It was about 2/3 registry items plus bath towels, crocheted blankets and a few other things. At my second (larger) shower I did get quite a few outfits but a lot of registry items, too. And then someone organized a diaper pounding for us, too, so we ended up with 4 months' worth of diapers! We were really very blessed.

got a good amount off of the registry, but also a million onsies, and outfits that weren't the right size for the season that they would fit.

i got so many of the same set of onsies... you've all seen them (if you have girls), the set that has variations of pink and brown. i even have a set in the 12month size... can't get away from them i started off really liking pink/brown combo, and now i am over it.

keep in mind you can exchange stuff if it's from a store like BRU or target.

I didnt register but I got a ton of gifts.

I got everything I needed except for the double stroller and only because, I didnt know which one we wanted as yet or I am sure someone would have bought it. I mean, everything. Car seats, PNP, bouncer, swing, furniture for the nursery, glider, monitors, clothes, diapers, wipes, receiving blankets, bibs, etc.

I got a TON of clothes. I only got about 1/2 of the registry stuff. But, I went thru the clothes and took back a bunch to BRU and Target and Walmart. I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I think I got 60 0-3 outfits. I used the credits to get the stuff that we did need. I didn't get many diapers at all but I bet if you register for some then you will get some.

I got tons of blankets and was kind of irritated that so many people got me blankets and not stuff on my registry... until now, when I realize that I need every single one of them.
