there are 5 stores listed in my area that carry the bumbleride but none have the twin in the store for me to look at & I refuse to order it without playing with it & seeing weight, fold, etc. What a bummer. Even buy buy baby doesnt have the twin in the store. Maybe it's just a sign that I should get the city mini.
Re: ugh, guess I won't be getting bumbleride twin
i tested out both the bumbleride (cutest colors ever) and the bob, and the bob was better IMO. smoother ride, easier fold up (this is important to me). i haven't tried the city mini, but i think the bob is more comparable to the bumbleride.
if you order from diapers.com the shipping is free, and stuff arrives in one or two days! don't know if shipping back would be free if you needed to exchange.
Good idea! I live in Charlotte NC area so you'd think someone would carry the thing. I did post on some MoM sites' classifieds and found one on craig's list (but no price or location or anything listed so kinda sketchy, could just be a store posting)... I should see if a local MoM has one to try out.
the bob seemed enormous to me so maybe I wouldn't like the bumbleride... I just like the rubber wheels a lot more than the foam on the city mini but I like the weight & fold of the mini. Sigh.
i know what you mean! never going to be a perfect stroller.
yes, bob and bumbleride are pretty much the same in size. they push like a dream. i haven't tested, but city mini is totally different... very cute too. i got the combi twin sport which is a very nice umbrella - LOVE the weight/fold-up. then i'd like to get a "jogger", probably bob.
good luck! i think many of us would love 6 strollers and a special room/garage to put them in
to me- you can't really compare the mini to the bumbleride indie twin --- they are 2 different types of strollers... totally different size wheels- so would have different uses/benefits, etc.
I tested the bumbleride (had to drive 40 min to a store that had one- the only place with a double around me)... I liked it- but wasn't crazy about the fold. The Baby Joggers are amazing with folds - all of them.... the comparable baby jogger would be the classic or the elite - not the mini. Bob also comparable.
They are all huge - that's what you get with a double all-terrain stroller. The mini is much smaller- and that's it's benefit... but you have smaller wheels, so not as great for bumpy terrain, etc.
The bob is a great stroller- but it never got me excited- perhaps b/c it's just not as pretty as the others
do you need a snap n go? I'm outside charlotte and I'm getting ready to sell a bunch of stuff if you are interested. I'm going to list it on craigs list, but I'll give you first dibs.
I also have 2 highchairs if you are interested.

Thanks all! Good to know about diapers.com!
Thanks for this offer- my LOs are 6 months+ & I've been using a DSNG since they were born & already using our high chairs too but thank you
!!!
I found the ONE store in my area that has one in the store today... too bad they are weird about their hours, none posted on website, none on their voice message & when I drove over there, it was closed w/ no hours posted on the window, but the bumbleride was sitting right by the door, 5 feet from me....AAHHHH!! I suspect they can't afford to be open too often or something but geez.
pretty much all double strollers are heavy and fairly big... you get used to dealing with them - even if you have back problems
I had bad back issues the first few months post partum from lifting babies and car seats all the time when i went places myself... plus stroller, etc... it sucks - there's no way around lifting heavy things when you have twins it seems.
Haha, no kidding!
when i see moms who throw both infant seats over their arms/elbows &walk around, I'm amazed...part of it is that the handles on our carseats are triangular & horrible to hold over your arm even just one of them but I just can't hold both babies like that regardless! When I'm carrying only one of them in the carseat I feel like I can barely walk although it doesnt help that i'm 5'0 and the car seat practically touches the ground when I have my arm straight...
