I was on google...I know a cardinal sin, looking for information about my temps after ovulation not rising as high as I see most people's rise. And I came across this :
More and more women are opting for a more natural approach to increase progesterone levels. Because synthetic progestins are not exact replicas of the body?s natural progesterone, they have a long list of unwanted side effects. Natural treatments such as herbal and homeopathic remedies, on the other hand, are a natural and effective alternative.
Herbs such as Vitex agnus-castus (Chasteberry) improve progesterone levels as well as promoting hormonal balance and health. A traditional Chinese herb, Cimicifuga racemosa (Black Cohosh), also has a beneficial effect on hormone functioning and may help to prevent miscarriage.
In addition, Eleutherococcus senticosis (Siberian Ginseng) promotes overall systemic functioning of the female reproductive system, acting as a tonic for female health and fertility. There are a number of plant based natural progesterone creams which can also be very useful in women with low progesterone levels.
Does anyone use any of these supplements?
Re: low levels of progesterone?
I tend to stay away from the herbals because there aren't many studies done on them and they aren't regulated. I've had bad experiences in the past (although not specifically with the supplements mentioned above)
I have friends that swear by natural remedies though...

I think you should step away from google in this case! Don't compare your specific temps to another person. Everyone is different. Just because your actual temp is different from someone else it doesn't mean you have an issue, progesterone or otherwise. I only see one chart, is this your first month charting? If so, definitely don't assume anything is wrong this early on. You're looking for a pattern, not specific numbers.
If you're still concerned about progesterone, have a test done at 7dpo. Don't start using supplements, it'll impact a test and give you inaccurate information.

My Chart / Info for Newbies
Yes, it discusses the side effects of artificial progesterone and the benefits of herbal supplements instead. I haven't been diagnosed with low progesterone, I was just googleing to see if there was any info. regarding temps only rising slightly after O. I see most charts on here that people's temps jump quite a bit, and mine have yet to really jump like I have seen most. I would def. consult with my Dr. before taking any of this, but I was just wondering if anyone had taken them.
Yep this is my first month charting, I wish it wasn't! I keep looking at the chart galleries and they are driving me nuts! I have been keeping track of my cycles though for 6 months now, and CM. I do think my ovulation date on FF was pretty on target though because I've been having 32-34 day cycles and day 16 would be pretty accurate with those numbers and my CM.
I don't think actual temps or the amount of rise matters. I have seen BFP charts with minimal rise. If you are worried though, you could always get a 7 DPO progesterone blood draw.
yeah, gym suggested this earlier and I think I will wait it out this cycle. But next cycle if I continue without results I may get tested to make sure.
