2005 Old Vine Zinfendel
Too funny. When I read the title a minute ago, my brain broke out in song. I'm a weirdo!
And - Zinfandel is my absolute favorite. Although, I do have to admit that when I first went out to Napa five years ago - the only Zin I'd ever heard of was White Zinfandel (can you imagine??). Was so thrilled ot visit Ravenswood (among others...) and get the real experience of what Zin was all about!

Ravenswood is ABSOLUTELY what I'm drinking at this very moment. We stayed with friends in Sonoma this past year and went wine tasting and were blown away. We have their glasses. They gave us Moscato and real zinfendel. I too knew nothing other than white. SRSLY. I'm eerily creeped out and excited.
I'm SO LOL right now! I've got two Ravenswood glasses in my dishwasher right now from our trip!
I LOVE their wine and bet I have a bottle of the '05 your drinking in my wine fridge right now! (DH and I "collect" '05 wines since that was the year we got married). AND YOUR A WICKED FAN???? No way...no freakin' way!

It was the best place we went to. We went to Gunlach Bunshu and ....eff I forget the first one. Ravens was the third, and we were sooooo wasted. We were so done tasting and then they brought out Moscato. It rocked our effing world. Life was truly never the same.
When I get stressed out in my daily life, I go back to my Napa trips and they take me to a happy place (a totally wasted, happy place...nonetheless). Ravenswood was AWESOME! DH and I spent a couple of hours there and joined their wine club.

Did you sit out on the patio?
We sat in the wooden chairs just outside, overlooking the vineyards. Effing beautiful. I wonder if I can find a picture.
And this date is already too good to be true.
Here is a picture of me and DH in the basement of the Robert Mondavi Winery during the same trip. I don't have a picture of us at Ravenswood (that was a late in the day trip and we probably left the camera in the car
)
Can wait until our date! It will be the best ever in the history of BOTB!!
NEVERMIND - there it is. HOLY HUGE! (P.S. This is not "That's what she said...") How do I get it smaller??
