My belly stopped stretching a few weeks ago and LO has continued to grow which has resulted in very painful tearing/ripping stretch marks. My doc has been no help what-so-ever other than by offering to induce at 39 weeks so as far as dealing with the pain and sensitivity I've been all on my own. I've tried every single thing I could think of and have come to a conclusion. Lotions burn, neosporin doesn't really do anything but Aloe Vera helps them to stop itching and burning and also helps with the sensitivity. Only problem I have with it is the 'residue' but I've learned that if I sit there and keep rubbing it in until I can't really feel any of the 'slime' I end up with less of the residue. Anyway, I just thought I'd share in case there's someone out there suffering with painful/sensitive stretch marks.
Re: If your stretch marks hurt or are sensitive...
I feel your pain, i feel like i can feel my stretch marks tearing. They are very sensative and hurt. I am not any help for relief though, i put lotion on but it doesnt really do the trick.
