Around 1:45 I had a message from day care:
Hey Sarah, just wanted to let you know that Avery threw up after lunch but we think she's ok...we'll call you if she throws up again, but I think she just ate too much at lunch
an hour later
Well...she did it again, you have to come pick her up
So we picked her up about 20 minutes after the phone call and by that time she threw up again. We got her in the car and she vomited the ENTIRE 15 minute ride home.
I gave her a bath and then she started to dry heave and WOULD NOT STOP. I called the pediatrician and they were going to call in a Rx for Zofran but then I mentioned she fell yesterday evening and had a bump on her head. They told me to go to the ER immediately...Goodbye! (literally, she told me to go to the ER and then practically hung up on me)
We got to the ER and she dry heaved and vomited bile a few more times. No temperature but it wasn't stopping. They did a catscan - Avery did AWESOME for it. The ER dr told us she figured it was a bug because of her alertness but since it was within the 24 hours of geting the knot on her head, we better be safe than sorry.
Avery was SUCH a little trooper and as soon as they gave her zofran, she was like a new baby.
Everything was ok, but I am exhausted. Avery did so great. She didn't cry at all. And thankfully...we got there and we had NO wait. When we left the entire pediatric ER waiting room was FULL. PHEW!
Re: First Trip to the ER tonight...
Caroline had the same thing (vomiting) on Tuesday. We also got a prescription for Zofran. Does Avery also have diahrrea?
I hope she feels better soon!

Awe man! Sorry Avery had to go through that! I hate to dry heave worse than actually vomiting...it's the worst! Glad to know that she's on the mend though.
