What's the point of changing SNs?

I don't get it. If you are telling everyone who you are with the new SN it defeats the purpose of changing it. You are opening yourself up for the same drama.

oh no not again...

the last board that was my home went through some sort of drama and everyone changed SNs. i was lost and didnt know who anyone was after that so this became my 'home' board.

whos changing names and what is the new name so i can start to get lost in the new sns?

I don't know who she really is, but JaneDoe is PMing everyone who her realy SN is. It is not my place to say, if I did know.

In GCs situation where she is hiding from her MIl, it is a bit different.

There's a point to it if you have a screen name as lame as mine. I made a new SN and was going to start using it soon.

I know who it is. No one told me, but I figured it out pretty quick. Thus defeating the purpose of the change, I think.

I did change mine. I was afraid of being "discovered" by my sister, who was on the site at the time and we weren't ready for any IRL people to know about our TTC.
