i don't know. my parents and my grandma are the only ones who have watched her. grandma is retired and my mom works part-time. I've never seen any reason or need to hire a sitter since they are so handily available, and K is 100% comfortable/in love with them.
We have not hired anyone yet either. Quite honestly, I'm a little scared too! My mom is the only person we've left DD with for any length of time. We've also never left her overnight with anyone yet.
We are very blessed to have both of our parents within 30 minutes of our home. We also found an amazing daycare person through my hairdresser. I love her.
DH and I have been trying to a date night at least once a month. We're alternating between my mom and MIL each month. It has been wonderful to have some time together!
We'll likely never hire a sitter. We've only left DD with family or very, very close friends. Which is why we've had THREE dates in the past 2 1/2 years. lol.
I haven't; we just don't know any so he goes to either of the grandparents' houses. There are plenty of kids that live on our street but they're all elementary aged, so we won't have an array of babysitters for a few more years yet.

Ha, nice. My parents life is their g-kids. We're lucky they live close.
We've only had my family watch DS so far. I'm thinking about talking to my 16 year old neighbor to see if she's willing/able to watch him, but I have to admit it makes me nervous to leave him with anyone except my family.
Never. I've had family and friends watch her. And for a while I had a mother's helper, but I don't count that since I was always here with her the whole time.
Nope and we likely won't ever or for a looong time. We have so many family members who would bend over backwards to watch him and I feel much more comfortable with family anyway.
We never have. We've only had family aside from one time when our neighbors came over (after we had already put DD to bed) so that we could go to a bday party.
Re: Anyone else still not hire a sitter??
Ditto. It's not that I wouldn't hire a sitter I just haven't had to.

luckily we haven't had to...
honestly, I'm not quite sure where I'd even begin to look for one if I needed to hire a sitter either... humm
Only family and friends have watched him.
Same here. My mom is our babysitter. If she was unavailable and we needed someone, I have some other close friends/family who would watch her.
