Re-usable diapers

Can someone please explain reusable diapers to me? How do you wash it without getting baby poo everywhere?? https://fourgreensteps.com/marketplace/Eco-Fabrik-Natural-Cloth-Diapers-Japonesk.html

Re: Re-usable diapers

  • We're using cloth diapers ... I would definitely ask this question on the eco friendly family board ... they can definitely give you lots of resources to check out if you're interested but here are a few:

  • Ditto above poster's suggestions! In short, exclusive breastfed poo is totally water soluble, it washes right out, just throw it right in! Once formula or solid solid food are introduced you need to remove most poo. If it's "messy," you either scrape it into toilet with something, use a diaper sprayer to rinse it into toilet, or use a thin paper diaper liner which you flush (my preference). Once it's solid poo, you just empty it into toilet...plop plop. :) and it's only necessary to get off what you can...a little bit on your diaper will wash clean. Just think about all the poop or vomit soiled clothes moms have to clean, unfortunately! ;)
