The title is very original, I know...lol...
I posted yesterday that I had gained a little over 20 lbs. so far (and I am 20 weeks today) and I felt like I was all alone considering all the bump weight-gain posts talk about gaining 10 lbs. or LOSING weight...haha. My doctor never says anything about it, but I just felt like I was doing something wrong.
Tons of ladies responded and encouraged me by saying they had gained a lot too and THEY thought they were the only ones.
I'm posting again because I was referring to this on another topic and someone said she hadn't seen my previous post.
So, if you have gained a lot of weight in your pregnancy so far and want to throw yourself out here with us, please do! It is very encouraging for all of us to know that a lot of the bump ladies are right there with them...
Re: Gaining a lot of weight club.
I love it
Gained 50 lbs with my first and went at 37 weeks
This one I started slow but have gained a total of 15lbs (7 in two weeks) so on track to gain a lot with this one.
I lost all 50 plus some pretty quickly with my first so I'm not concerned I was pretty small to begin with.
haha this post made me smile. I have gained 30 lbs at 26wks! My doctor also hadn't said anything about this but it is starting to slow down now.
My plan was 35 lbs total LOL ah well.
DD1 born 5/24/10.
Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.
DD2 born 5/14/13.
Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.
with my first i gained 35 it came off
with my second i gained 40 only 20 came off...........
Being that I started off overweight i promised myself to only gain 15 pounds the entire pregnancy.
Geez how unrealistic was I? i've already gained 15 in 20 weeks =(
I'm 21 weeks and have gained 23 pounds, my goal was 35. Doesnt look that good for me! Oo well!!
Did I mention I'm in a wedding 6weeks after the baby is born?hehe, ya that was fun getting measured for...
WHAT!?!? You haven't even gained as much as us other ladies have...and most of our doctors don't say anything about it! I am mad at your doc. lol
Yesterday I had my 20 week appointment and I had gained 16 lbs, and my OB stated that if I gained another 20 by the time I delivered, I'd be pretty average in weight gain. She was not concerned one bit and frankly neither am I!

I am surpirsed and mad too! I was aiming to gain 40 pounds total, but he said 25 is what I should be aiming for, he had me cut out all sugar to see if it gets my weight gain under control. I honestly thought that it was under control already!
I've gained 17. I feel like it's a lot because I'm ahead of where I was at this point when I was pregnant with DD. But back then I had time to work out in the evenings - my only workout now is carrying/chasing her around!
I'm glad you posted this because I too was reading a lot of posts about losing weight!
I lost all my pregnancy weight with DD in under 2 months - nursing really helps!
I've gained 24lbs at 25 weeks. I was only 125lbs to start out with but my doctor's goal was 25-30 pounds for the whole pregnancy. I gained 20lbs in 2 months, so my dr. sent me to a nutritionist to make sure I'm eating a balanced diet. I can't figure out why everyone's doctor is ok with the same amount of weight gain and mine is freaking out
50lbs total with my first one.
I've gained 19lbs so far at 18 weeks. Thanks so much for everyone's response to this posting! I feel so much better knowing I'm not a Fatty McFat
.
You can add me to the list! I'm 23 weeks and have gained 22 lbs.
I gained a total of 22 lbs with my first, delivered at 40 weeks. Lost it all in 2 weeks.
I'm not too worried. I just fear my chipmunk cheeks will start to pop just like my belly!
I am definitely a part of this club. I don't know what it is, but I am rapidly gaining weight - ugh. I've always been petite, I eat healthy and have been exercising (well exercising every once and a while - I ran all the time before getting pregnant, but I have exercise induced asthma and its effecting me a lot more now), but I since being pregnant I have shot up about 20 lbs.
Thanks for the post, I too felt alone with all of these "i can't gain any weight' posts - its nice to know I ma not alone.
I responded yesterday, but I weighed myself this morning, and it's even more than I thought. I am up 23 pounds at 19 weeks. I gained 45 with DS, so I am probably on track for that again.
Thank goodness for BFing, it really helped it come off last time.
Thank you!!
Yes, I've gained AT LEAST 20 pounds, depending on what scale I use! Less than a year ago, I was a size 0. Then, I gained some weight, but I was still a size 4-6. Seeing the scales now is just scary!!!!!!!
Yup, I've gained 20 pounds in 24 weeks- with most of the weight coming before the last four weeks. The gain has slowed down. The doctor's not concerned, so I guess I can't be, either. I try and eat healthy, and work out a few days a week, too.
Oh, and I am in a wedding too- EDD is June 9th and the wedding is July 30th. Eek!
