Newborn Photography
Hi. I don't post much here (mostly spend time on the multiples board), but I'm hoping to find some good recommendations for newborn photographers in Portland. TIA!

It definitely depends on how much you want to spend. There are many great photographers out there. One thing to remember is that a lot of great newborn photos are taken when the baby is less than 14 days old. At that age they're still super sleepy and bendy. Check out Little Moon Photography and Stephanie Fisher Photography for some examples. I know they are not local, but they are some of the best in the business.

Also, do you want natural light or studio photography? I found one photographer online today who I think has some great photos. Her name is Kimberly Whipps and she calls herself the barefoot photographer. But she does most of her work in studio. Her session fee is $150 and then there are various prices for prints. I also know another photographer personally. Her name is Christina Gilchrist. She is more of a wedding photographer though, who does family sessions for her wedding clientele. Another photographer that I adore is Laura from Vibrant Life photography. Unfortunately she just moved to Denver but I think she still visits Portland regularly to do sessions here.

YES! Bryan and his wife Leah did my wedding last September and I have asked them to do maternity pics too! We were beyond happy with our wedding pics and will be sure to use them in the future and refer others to them. He has an awesome blog with samples of many different types of pics they take.
I haven't used them but heard good things about this photographer who specializes in twin photography.
