I have been reluctant to get too excited about it until it was official and we were all registered because I figured there must be some sort of catch. But, I am happy to say there is no catch and I just got the "official" confirmation e-mail. So April 12th-17th we will be crusing aboard the Celebrity Century to Key West and the Grand Cayman Islands! ![]()
I am SO excited, and so proud of my DH. Since starting this job last year, their sales numbers have gone way up and they are so happy about it that they awarded him with this cruise. And it is 100% all expenses paid - airfare to Miami, the cruise, all food and cocktails, tips, etc. Woo Hoo! Looks like we have to go get passports now!
Thank you universe for FINALLY sending something good my way after the past few months of HELL you have put me through!!! ![]()
Re: AW: DH won a cruise from work!
That's AWESOME!!! Happy sailing.
BTW, you don't need a passport on a cruise so long as you are leaving/returning to a US Port.
I'm glad that's inclusive of drinks/tips... that can really add up!
I know cruises aren't for everyone but I LOVED our cruise through the Greek islands. Do you know much about the ship?
Big congrats!

Hmmm....that's what I thought too, but the woman I spoke with on the phone kept insisting that we need them. I guess maybe I should call back and talk to someone else and do some more investigating before we shell out the $ for the passports.
I was on a cruise at this time last year (DH and I went for Valentine's Day as a second honeymoon) and I HAD to get a passport. Everyone I talked to insisted that I had to have one. I didn't want to take any chances, so I got one. It can't HURT to have a passport anyway...just makes it that much easier for you to decide to go on more exotic vacations : )
BTW we went to Grand Caymans also and I have to tell you....YOU MUST do the swimming with stingrays excursion!!!!!!!!!!! It was absolutely the most awesome thing!

Thanks for that info. I think we probably will go ahead and get the passports, just to be on the safe side. And like you said, make it easy to go on more vacations
Oh, and I will definitely check out the swimming with stingrays. Sounds kinda scary though!
