Told my parents and my head is spinning!

I'd been nervous to tell my parents because I was worried my mom wouldn't be as happy for me since it was a year earlier than she was expecting. However, since my cousin told everyone so early, I knew the longer I waited, the more upset my mom would be. So I bit the bullet and called.

At first, she thought I was kidding, but after 3 minutes of telling me I tease her too much, she screamed and went on and on about how happy and excited she is. My plan had been to not tell her we were trying, but she just assumed we were and was totally fine with it.

My dad was likewise ecstatic, and my grandmother (who was in town for a doctor's appointment) was thrilled, too. It definitely made up for my ILs' less animated reaction (they were excited; they just aren't emotional people).

I'm just so relieved that my mom is so happy. She said this was the best news of her life Smile
