Hi Canadian Mama's - Any modern cribs in Canada ?

I thought it was mostly all USA posts - this is great. ?I'm from Vancouver but I'm currently living in Halifax for the next year while my husband is back in school for his masters. ?

?We're due at the end of July and never thought we would be having our first baby across the country from our home town. ?

?I've been searching for modern cribs, particularly Oeuf cribs, but have had no luck finding any in Halifax. ?There seem to be so few modern cribs available in Canada, and if they are they're ?very expensive and then one would still have to ship to Nova Scotia ? Anyone buy a great modern crib in Canada at a somewhat reasonable price, under &600.00

    Have you checked Ikea? i have no clue if they sell cribs but it might be worth a look.

    Thanks - Ikea does have cribs - the "Gulliver" crib is recommended from the Baby Bargains book for safety/value/style. Although no Ikea's in Halifax and shipping is 3x the price of the crib. ?Hmph, may have to wait until I'm back in Vancouver.

    We got our crib new at Once Upon A Child.  It was around $400 I believe and it's gorgeous.  I know Once Upon A Child is all over North America but I am unsure if they have one in Halifax...

    I was going to suggest Ikea for the clean lines, inexpensive, ease of use etc.  But also because you guys aren't going to stay in NS for a long time and it will cost a boat load to ship a crib from NS to BC in a year.  Buy the $100 Ikea crib, sell it on kijiji when you are ready to go and buy the crib you really want when you are back in Vancouver.  :)
