DH and I love it, and actually thought it was a little bit unusual. Neither of us know anyone with that name. Then I got online and it says it's #10. Do you know lots of people with that name?

Our cat is Chloe, but she's the only one we know. If we hadn't used the name on our 10y.o. cat, it would have been on our list. BUT, the fact that it's Top 10 is surprising... Then again, we don't know any Emilys and only 1 Emma, so maybe we're not good guages of what's truly popular out there!
Ditto here....we live in Hawaii and it was actually #1 in 2008 here. Ugh...then again, like you, I've only known 1 Chloe in real life. She is 23, so I still have yet to meet a young Chloe.
Do you like Zoe? Kind of a similar feel, but not so popular on the charts.
There are two in my girls' preschool class and I have a friend whose five year old is named Chloe. I think it is pretty popular. But I think it's a pretty name.

Thanks for the feedback. I will have to check out the Social Security website. I like it enough not to care if it's *somewhat* common. I just don't want our daughter to be one of several in her class. This may not even be an issue since we don't have our big ultrasound until next week. I've already checked and our boy name is down in the 200s.
I do like Zoe also, but it's our friend's dog's name, so that ruins it for me.

My cousin's name is Chloe. I don't think it's that common. If it was though, who cares? If you and dh love it and are in total agreement, who cares how trendy/common it is?
I know 2, and my dog is named Chloe... we actually were sort of mad at ourselves for naming the dog Chloe because we both agreed that it would make it a rteally cute name for our little girl!
I don't actually know a Chloe, but it is a VERY popular girl name. It's on our top 10 list & everybody suggests it when we say we haven't decided yet. But who cares?! Popular or not, I think it's still a pretty, unique name!
Yes, I know a couple, but why let that stop you? If you like it, she'll like it and when she asks later on why it's so popular, you say it's a beautiful name for a beautiful little girl.
I don't mind that the name is popular, for the most part. I was just surprised to find out that it is, since I don't know anyone with that name. I just don't want to choose a name that is SO popular that my daughter would have to be Chloe Last-Initial for the rest of her school years because there are so many other girls in her class with the same name.

I know several dogs and cats named Chloe and one turtle. As far as people go, I only know two kids and one adult named Chloe.
Yikes. Those alternative spellings are not good.
