Fake wedding ring? (clicky)

I am thinking about getting a fake wedding set to wear because mine is getting very snug...... Im only up about 10lbs but O man are my little fingers getting fat! Getting mine sized doesnt seem worth it since my fingers wont (or at least I hope not) be fat forever. Not wearing anything feels funny, and as stupid as it sounds I dont want people thinking Im not married. Stupid I know Embarrassed What do you guys think?

I already told DH I would go get a cheap replacement if I outgrew my ring. My finger feels way too naked without it on (I rarely take it off)

Mine still fits, surprisingly since with DD I had to take it off at 20 wks, but I forgot to wear it to go get milk last night, and I got the stink eye from this little old lady waiting in line. She was actually glaring at me, my hand and then my belly. But whatever, I'll never see her again, I'm over it. I already have a fake one.

I was thinking of just getting a plain band when/if mine don't fit. That way I'll have something but don't have to spend a lot of money on it.

I have a skinny platium band with tiny diamond that go across the top that was my grandmother's orginial wedding band that she gave me for college graduation. It is sized about 3/4 to 1 size bigger than my wedding band so I plan on wearing that when I outgrow mine.

PRoblem with my Dh is a cheap replacement is 15 bucks at target lol I think I'm going to try and talk him into a nicer cheap replacement.... our anniversary IS next month :-)

My DH has two wedding bands. One was expensive and very nice but when he deploys he doesn't want to ruin it. So, when he is on a ship he wears a cheap band that we bought. Same reason as you he likes wearing a ring and letting people know he is married.

Thanks for the idea. I might steal it later.

Me too. I think I may just get a silver band. I can only wear my band right now, my engagemnet ring just doesn't fit.

OLd people are so funny! I know I'll never see them again but I don't wanna risk them!telling me I shouldW have waieted till I was married. I may just feel the need to make it worse and lie and say I don't know who the dead is :-) and who feels like being the story of the week at the old folks home. YOu know how much they love to talk about 'the problem with kids now a days!' LOl

I had to get one almost 3 months ago. I found one that didn't look too fake and only cost $20. Last week I resorted to wearing nothing or else this old plain band of DHs. My fakey turned copper lol and really, at this point I just don't care anymore.

I actually broke my engagement ring about 2 months after I got it and my temporary replacement was the $15 one from Target. The stone looks not-so-good, but the band is sterling silver and it came with the engagement and wedding bands. Really, it's totally worth it. I wouldn't spend too much money getting a "real" replacement, even if it is a cheap one from the jewler. A couple hundred dollars probably isn't going to make anyone think you're more married than the $15 one from Target.

All in all, I think getting a cheap-o replacement is a great idea.

I was able to wear both of my rings right through delivery last time...and I'm really hoping to be able to again! Being uber pregnant over the Summer might foil my plans. I'm way too paranoid about losing them so I'm very stubborn about taking them off..ever.

I wear fake rings when I go on vacation (especially beach vacations bc I fear losing them in the sand/water) and I plan on doing the same if I get too fat ;-)

I was going to do it but at 38 wks my rings still fit fine so I never got around to it and at this point if they get too snug I'm not worried about it.
