I am trying to decide between these two strollers. I love the uppababy I just don't know if I can justify spending that much money on it. I do love that it has the bassinet though which I think will be helpful when i go over my parents or sisters house cause I could just bring that in and use that for the baby to sleep in. I also love the wheels of the uppababy. I feel like the wheels of the bumbleride might wear down easily. I like how both of them you can either have the baby face toward you or away from you. I just don't know if it is worth spending 600 on a stoller. Any suggestions welcome!
Re: Uppababy vista vs bumbleride
I'm not sure if you mean the Indie or the Flyer, but I'm guessing the flyer based on having the baby face toward or away from you. We are 99% sure we're getting the Uppa Baby. My second choice was a Bumbleride (probably Indie, but I like the Flyer too).
The biggest deciding factor for me is that the Uppa Baby comes apart - I like that when we put the car seat on, that's all that's on the frame. I don't like the strollers that you add the carseat onto the stroller. It's too bulky for my liking.
I'm not sure if that helps you, but that is my opinion :-)
try posting on the baby gear board too.
I'm not your sister, but the place is their showroom in Hingham. I just emailed them about it earlier this week. Some days they will have tons of strollers, some days they will have none. They recommend calling ahead to find out. Prices range from 250-450 for a refurbished or new stroller, without the bassinet. They may not come with all of the accessories. There is only a 30 day warranty instead of 2 years.
I was looking at the uppababy too, many mother's who told me they had them said not to buy it if the bassinet was a deciding factor as after 2 months they didn't get any use out of it (even though I love the bassinet look)...and another thing to think about is if your out & about how many times are you actually going to wake the baby in order to get them in the bassinet, possibly not many & you'll just use the car seat adaptor to snap it in. I had my heart set on the uppababy for a long time, I was only looking at the 2010 version as they improved all the gripes Mom's were having about the seat not coming to a complete upright position, etc...so none of them are discounted and it would be $659 or around there plus the car seat adaptor so around $700...I ended up getting the BOB, yes I am already buying strollers at 14weeks prego, I know wacky, but I loved the way it handled, it has the car seat adaptor and I can run with it...but now I am looking at buying the Baby Jogger City Select, which is $500, but it turns into an awesome double stroller if your planning on having more than one baby down the road, this one just came out, and the additional seat is $160 & you can buy a bassinet for under $100 with it too if you really wanted it, so lots of options, I have heard Mom's raving about this one already, as it doesn't take up the space a normal double stroller does, and has so many options, and Baby Jogger, an Australian company is solid as far as it's products go...happy shopping!

The Uppa Baby does that too :-)
