I just left a job where I consulted with families who have kids with ASD (Austim Spectrum Disorders.) Anyway, we had a "Thankful Tree" at school and I had to take pics of the the things I thought were high-larious, and also heartwarming. Here is one. What are YOU thankful for?
Re: A PIP ( I hope, I suck at PIP) to keep things in perspective
That was too cute! DH and I ate at Denny's the other night and the most handsome little boy with DS was there and some woman walked up to the parents and asked what was wrong with him, not in a curious way in a rude ignorant way. I would have stepped in but the mother held her own! FARKing idiots! I cant believe some people!
I am currently pursing my degree in Special Education, I cant wait to work with kids with special needs!
Good for you...My DD has hearing loss & although it is mild compared to many things other parents deal with we get lots of rude comments about her hearing aids. I can't imagine what others go through.
It makes me sad!
First I just love your pictures! The one in the store is just priceless.
What I am thankful for...My family, friends, being able to work from home (as of this past Monday) in order to spend more time with my DS. Having a warm home to raise my family in. Vacations! Cold Stone Ice Cream! My OB, DH and the nurses for taking such great care of me during my very difficult pregnancy. Scrap booking, food, cake, cupcakes, licking the bowl after making a cake. eating cookie dough while baking cookies, good music, live concerts, spending time with DH, date night or day. Snuggling with DS on my chest or next to me at nap time. Being able to provide my oversupply of BM to my SIL that just had twin girls who are currently in the NICU. I am sure that there is much more, but that is good for now.
