I will repost what I just wrote in your other post.?
Relaxed =/= leaving baby unattended while I look around 7/11 for something to drink and to pay for my gas.. I?consider myself a very relaxed person, but that's just?common sense.?
Everyone here is really judgey. everyone. I learned that a few nights ago. It's ok, I have left my baby in the car before to pump gas and stuff. No biggie, I'm sure most of them have to, they are just afraid to admit it.
And I could see my car the entire time! It's not a big deal!
Whatever, I'm not going to talk about that any more. I just want people to stop being so mean. I'd like to maybe meet a friend or two or something. But if people are going to be judgemental, I might go somewhere else.

I will be your friend, you seem totally cool and normal.

Why would she go to 6-12? Her counter is counting backwards!! Quit being so judgey. God, and I thought you were kinda cool.

13 posts and she seems totally cool and normal? Wow.
Bonding over leaving your babies unattended... you guys give me the warm fuzzies.
I personally think it's obvious you care about your kid, otherwise you wouldn't have thought twice about what you did and wouldn't have felt you needed to ask about it on this board. You know, with your other question, I think it kind of depends on where you live, too. I used to live in a small town where if I did that - no biggie whatsoever; everyone was trustworthy. Where I live now, I can't do that. I'm sorry you had a rough go at your first post. Yes, and no offense to anyone who has posted or is reading this here, sometimes it seems people can be a little judgy. I've read other posts that completely bash my parenting style and choices, so I just trust my choices as what's best for DD and don't bring it up on this board. Maybe that's something that would help you, too, if you're upset about the responses you received. You kinda' get what you're asking for (no offense), because when you put something out there, you kind of have to know you're going to get the good with the bad in reply.

Um, no I haven't. I drive a SUV and it's a pain taking the carrier in and out of it and yet I would still take DD with me if for some reason I was in the situation that OP was. And speaking of being judgmental that was pretty judgmental of YOU to assume most of us do something irresponsible like that but just won't admit to it. I try not to point fingers at people because it's really none of my business. But, when it clearly is a risk to your child I will say something. It takes mere SECONDS for a crazy to jump in the car and go. Unless the OP had walked around the entire gas station to ensure that no crazies were around she can't assume that it's safe. Like other pp have said in her other post, the inconvenience is worth it over the agony of losing my child.
Not knowing what this is relating to, this is a public message board. You will find people who enjoy judging others, those that like to cause drama, those that are looking for advice, those that are here for entertainment only, etc. Basically there are a whole bunch of different personalities here. I don't post much and am usually not one to cause drama because I think it is really infantile.

Um, what I said was an assumption, not a judgment. And how is a crazy going to jump in my car in SECONDS if it is locked and I can see it the entire time?

Show me in her original post where it said she locked the car. She said she started the engine and went in to pay. Last that I checked, you would need your keys to start the engine, therefore, she did NOT lock the car.
OP, I like to think that we all make mistakes due to sleep deprivation and just not thinking things through and clearly. Believe me, I've done a few things that I still bang my head against the wall about. But, the fact that you did it, got called on it, and still think you did nothing wrong is what upsets most people here. And YES it does take mere seconds for someone to jump into your car and steal it. And, with the engine already running you just helped them save even more time to hotwire it. Unless you have your eyes on the car the ENTIRE time, which I find unbelievable because I assume you looked at the cashier person, something could've happened.

OLD NEWS ROCKS!
whatever happened to that chicago board anyway?

ok, now what is MUD? There are too many letters I don't get.
And to those who are being nice, thank you. I knew there would be some nice people here. I just didn't think there would be so many mean people.
And if I had walked all around the store to look for crazies, then I would have been in the store a lot longer and left my child alone longer.
Seriously, I could see my car the whole time! It's not a big deal!
