Hair Help? (PIP)

My hair is somewhat....out of control. It's always been big. It takes So much effort to tame it down every day so I don't look like a reject from the 80's. I don't want to cut it off again, I really think I look better with long hair.

Any suggestions?

Re: Hair Help? (PIP)

  • Didn't you have short hair for your wedding?  I know you want to keep it long, but I really liked your short hairdo.

  • What about adding a lot of layers.  I woud like short hair but look better with longer hair.

The layers give me the illusion of short hair, but I still have the length.

It woudl also make you hair easier to control.

  • Run, do not walk, to a stylist that is experienced with thick hair.  It needs layers/texture/thining.  DO NOT just go anywhere.  I would keep the length, but it needs shape.

    BAHAHAHAH

    Fail.

Thanks, I had looked at that thing so long trying to figure out if I'd spelled "Believe" wrong that I totally missed the other misspelling.

    Tell me everything you know.

  • When you have poofy hair it MUST be cut dry.  Or at the very least the cut needs to be finished dry.  Actually every single cut should be finished dry.  My hairdresser does not touch my hair wet.  It's washed, dried, flat ironed and then he cuts it.  That way he can see how it lays and what it does.  It can be hard to find someone who cuts this way.  You will also pay more for this.  It's worth it to call around and spend the money.
