Stroller Question/Disney

Posted this on 12-24 also....

We are heading to Orlando next month to visit friends and will make a stop at Disney while there.  I am planning to purchase a lighter stroller to take with us.  I have got in narrowed down to a few different ones: Graco Literider, Inglesina Zippy, or Peg Perego Aria.  Any recommendations/dislikes about any of these? Any recommendations for a different stroller than I listed? Really wanted a stroller that had a snack tray and reclines.

TIA! :)

Re: Stroller Question/Disney

  • Some people will tell you not to bring your own and to just rent one of Disney's.  They do have great strollers.  But I prefer to take my own- one that reclines.  Gavin will often nap in his stroller so to me, it's definitely worth the hassle of taking it with us.  Actually, I don't find it a hassle at all- but I know some do.  I actually prefer to have my bigger stroller down there- a Graco Metrolite.  But that is just b/c of the cupholders and snacktray and large storage basket.  But we also have a Graco Ipo that is good for Disney too.  It is lightweight, folds up compact, and reclines flat.  It does have a small basket too.  So you should probably check it out too.  Have fun!

  • We rented a stroller from Disney when we went during Christmas and it was awful. The kids were so uncomfortable. It is hard, no snack tray and just awful. I will never rent one from the park again. Allison fell asleep but could not sleep in the stroller because it is hard and does not recline.
  • We took ours and DS was so much more comfortable in his naps.
  • If you are looking at the Zippy you should consider the Peg Si as well.  Very similar in nature, but cheaper.

  • I have the Peg Perego Aria and we like it.  I don't love it but I only love my jogging strollers.
  • A friend of mine had the Aria and hated it.  She couldn't wait to get rid of it.  She has older kids and was disappointed that the quality of the "ride" had gone downhill from the last time she had a Peg stroller.  She sold it and got a Mclaren that she loved.
  • We have the Inglesina Zippy and love it. It is not super light, but we love the way that it folds up, it fits really nicely into the back of our car.

I only wish they had some more options for double strollers, cause we will probably be giving ours up soon to move to a double stroller. When are you leaving? I might be putting ours on Craigs list when we get our double, but I'm not sure if a used stroller grosses you out.
