Preemies

Roseola.

Yep. We've got it. That fever all weekend? It's now explained.

Of course, now he's totally fine (just sleeping a lot and splotchy!) but can't go back to daycare until the rash is gone.

It's not even March yet and I have 5 days of leave left for the year.

Where does one buy boy-sized bubbles?

Re: Roseola.

  • Ugh, poor Robbie and poor Mommy.  :(  Hope he feels better soon.

    Costco?

  • Sorry Trish...that stinks.  That poor little guy.  Everytime someone posts about a preemie toddler I just cringe knowing we won't be out of the woods anytime soon.  My student that had a child with RSV, I got to talking to her...her daughter is a 26 weeker.  Lord help us all.

My hubby is out of work right now and quite handy.  I will get him on this new venture of boy-sized bubbles.  We will surely retire off the earnings of preemie parents.

  • :( I'm sorry!
  • Ugh, so sorry.  We had it.  I posted pics on my blog when it happened.  At least it's a quick illness with little complications to lungs, which always scares the crap out of me.
  • Ugh, Roseola is such a b!tch. The sudden high fever is absolutely terrifying :(

I'm glad he's on the mend.

I wish I knew where to find boy bubbles. I could use a couple myself.

  • hahaha.. Love the bubbles.

He seems pretty good today. He did sleep 14 hours which was actually lovely for me. The doc called back and said he's not contagious once the fever is gone (which is what I thought, but the night nurse said it wasn't until the rash was gone.. so I took the day off for no reason, but whatever. At least I got to sleep in.)

It's not lung affecting, so you know.. it was alright. The fever and general malaise was not fun, of course, but at least I wasn't worried about him not breathing.

  • I've been reading your blog this weekend, so I'm glad you figured out what was going on and I'm super glad it didn't affect his lungs.  But it was still not a cakewalk, and I'm so sorry Mr. Cutie Pie, aka Robbie :), is not feeling well.  Hope both of you get some rest!
