  • DS still spits up - but he has reflux.
  • six months...got really bad at 4 months.

    BFP 12/16/14| EDD 8/19/15 |MMC 1/15/15 (9 weeks 1 day)
  • I've just this week noticed it occuring less and less.  Not totally stopped yet, but much less.

  • DS was a super "happy spitter" as they say (terrible reflux, but it was not painful for DS and he was still gaining weight fine, so no meds/interventions other than a few teaspoons of rice cereal in his bottles).  It got a lot better when he started crawling (9ish months) but he still spits up a few times a week, even now.  (And holy God it smells awful once they really start eating solids!)
  • It hasn't stopped completely...but it got MUCH better around 6 months.

  • Unfortunately it hasn't yet and DS is 7 months.  According to Baby 411, of babies age 4-5 months, 67% spit up, babies age 6-7 months 21% still spit up, and by 12 months of age, less than 5% spit up (here's looking to the future!)
  • When I started making his bottles more like runny oatmeal than milk. He gets a ton of rice cereal in every bottle, but if it's not there he pukes the whole bottle the minute he starts moving around.

He still spits up a bit here and there, but usually it's because he's been bouncing around a lot or not feeling well to begin with.

     This for us.

  • DD stopped at around 6 1/2 months, right when she started sitting up unsupported.  She rarely spits up anymore.  Only when she gets overfed or if she is bouncing around shortly after eating.

I was sooooooo glad when she stopped spitting up because DD had a pretty bad case of reflux that did require meds.  She was pretty unhappy, esp. the first 3 months and I was one very stressed out mama!

  • My baby is still a spitter.  A happy spitter, but still.

I actually think it has gotten worse because he moves so much now.  We used to be able to hold him upright for a while after he ate and now he runs away as soon as his meal is finished.

  • DD has reflux but it has gotten so much better in the last 3 weeks, ever since she started sleeping on her tummy. She hardly ever does it now and she used to drench 10 bibs a day.I really dont keep a bib on her all the time now.

  • The exorcist style spitting up stopped around three months.

  • When I started feeding solids, he spit up less and less.  So around 4 months.  It can still happen, but it's infrequent.

  • DS still spits up. I keep thinking it'll get better because he sits indpendently and is starting to crawl around, but it seems to be about the same. He takes prevacid, but I think that just keeps it from burning. It doesn't really affect the volume.
