I'M GRAPE JELLY- ALWAYS AROUND & ALWAYS THE SAME
If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me. For I must be traveling on now. Because there are too many places I've got to see. -Allen Collins & Ronnie VanZant
My favorite verse!
#2--More time w/ my kids, DH & grandkids--DH lost his Dad at 59 & it sucks. Plus, I know I am the minority here, but I think suffering would be good for me...I don't think it's always a bad thing--I think it'd make me take time to evaluate my life, where my soul is & bring me closer to God. But I am Christian & suffering definitely has value in my religious views (Jesus on the cross, for example).

Designing a Life Blog
My Dad died pretty quickly - massive heart attack when I was 23 (he was 66).
My DH's mom died at 85 after suffering from dementia for 10 plus years. She didn't know who anyone was. It was hard to see her that way.
I would never want to have a long "painful" illness because then the kids are so torn because to "wish someone to die" is so wrong...but you don't like to see them in pain. I had an uncle that lived about 6 years in pain (cancer) and the last 2 years he was literally begging to die because of the pain.
Re: Pick one: morbid
2. Die after a long painful illness at the age of 90.
At 90 years old, I'd feel much better about dying because I would have really seen/enjoyed life.

1. One if only I could tell my family I love them.
The lady at the corner had a massive heart attack where her heart basically exploded and no one got to say they loved each other and good-bye.
Oh..and I also don't want my kids' to have to deal with losing a parent that early.....so I still pick 2!
ETA: how long is the 'long painful illness' though? (i'm thinking not 30 years, right?)

I'm almost 40, that doesn't give me a heck of a lot of time. My DD will only be 23. She may not be even married yet!
