So, as I'm sitting in the waiting room with DS I realize it would be awesome I they had one waiting room for sick kids and one for healthy kids. I interviewed one practice that had seperate entrances even and thought it was such a great idea. It's so hard to keep a sicky from playing with the toys, but if you let him then you get the stink eye from all the healthy kids mom's. Just something to consider. Off to see if they can make my little guy feel better!

Re: Something to look for with a pediatrician
This is a good idea, but I liked our pediatrician's policy as well (we moved, so we no longer go there). Their policy was to put any sick kids immediately into an exam room.
They said that often sick parents didn't want to take their kids into the sick room so they wouldn't get sicker....
Dang military healthcare. They have a giant waiting room and just have all the sick kids and healthy kids together. They also don't have toys though... just a TV with cartoons.
I plan on keeping LO in the stroller at the doctor's office until LO can't be contained by the stroller. I figure that will be around 1 1/2 or 2???
