..nurse DD in a bathroom.

I don't know why, but it skeeves me out!

Close your eyes if you don't like it lol!

Re: I would rather make people uncomfortable than..

  • ITA.  I've never ever nursed DD in a bathroom.  Ew.

  • Agreed.  The only time I'll choose the bathroom over any other location is in a place like Macy's or Nordstrom's or Dillards and they have those big comfy chairs in the "lounge" area before you actually reach the bathroom.  Ahhh comfort :)

  • ITA.  I don't BF, but I don't understand why people would be uncomfortable around it.   And, if they are - it's their problem not yours!
  • I think nursing in public as fine. I just make sure I'm covered up.

  • I don't BF but I could tell you about a dozen reasons why BFing in the bathroom is gross. WHO EATS in the bathroom? Seriously?

Frankly, IF I have to use a public restroom - I'm in and out QUICKLY - gross.

  • Amen!

Me too. I actually really like nursing in the Nordstrom "lounge".

  • I don't want to eat on a toilet.  I don't think anyone would.

(If you're at the mall, I used to go into a dressing room at a department store.)

Yes! Macy's bathrooms are the best!

I used a Target bathroom one time before realizing I had to just NIP. Since then, I've been fine.

Although I did have to use a bathroom at my university a few times. I don't want to have the chance of a student or professor seeing me and causing awkwardness there. But that's where I work so it is a bit different.

  • Totally agree. I have never nursed DS in a bathroom and hopefully never will but I don't judge people that do. If they're not comfortable NIP who am I to judge.

  • Being around women who are breast feeding makes me uncomfortable, but I would much rather you make me uncomfortable than feed you child in a bathroom. I don't know why I am that way, I just am, but I am an adult and so I will deal.

  • I used to do that with my first LO in the beginning, because I was uncomfortable.  After a while, I didn't care anymore who saw me.  The bathroom is a lot more uncomfortable.

  • I NIP all the time....and DD hates nursing covers.  You really can't see anything but her head.  I don't know why it makes people uncomfortable, but I don't think anyone invited them to look.  Wink

  • Me too.  I regret the past year and how I was always so scared to nurse LO in public and would spend a lot of time in the bathroom.   Yuck.  Poor LO.

  • I dont even like peeing in a public restroom.
  • Babies come first.  The others can just get over it.
